Atlas London is fully committed to minimising our impact on the planet and to becoming Net Carbon Zero.
We will achieve our sustainability goals through:
- Chemical-free cleaning
- Electric vehicles and equipment
- Energy/ water/ plastic reduction
- Recycling uniforms
- Waste reduction
- Encouraging staff to use public transport.
Atlas is collaborating with The Sustainability Group and we are focusing on the parts of the United Nations Sustainable Development goals where we can have the most impact.
We are utilising the FuturePlus sustainability and ESG management and reporting platform to understand, measure, evidence, improve and report on our sustainability impact and goals. We have measured our current impact and future ambition across the key themes of Climate, Environment, Social, Economic, and Diversity and Inclusion, together with our path to achievement.
We work with our clients to develop a joint sustainability roadmap and have a Sustainability Champion embedded in our larger contracts. Targets are agreed and metrics are incorporated in KPIs.
Waste Management
Through our approach to managing your waste on site, and using our network of waste management service partners, we can increase you recycling rates and divert waste from landfill, helping to make your operation carbon neutral.
Cleaning Chemicals and Consumables
We use chemical-free cleaning systems or eco-friendly chemicals to carry out our cleaning tasks. All our suppliers share in our environmental ambitions, and our washroom paper products are all manufactured from recycled materials
Social Value
We believe that every firm, from the smallest market trader to the largest multinational corporation, can do something to help others and make a worthwhile contribution to their local community.
We align our service to support the community around our clients and to measure this we use the Social Value Portal. This measures and manages the contribution that we make to society, according to the principles laid out within the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.
Atlas London is working with employees, clients and suppliers to deliver social value to our communities. We support local charities, including FareShare and Young Minds and provide our staff with fully funded volunteering days.
We have engaged with the Government’s Kickstart Scheme, providing placements for young people at risk of long-term unemployment, and are delighted to have provided full employment through this valuable initiative.
